Higher Ground is a culinary arts experience especially for underserved high school students in Allapattah.
This unique and empowering program seeks to establish and strengthen multi-faceted relationships among youth, families, schools, and businesses; who are all dedicated to the success of the student.
We strive to foster personal growth and development in young adults as well as to improve their confidence and self-esteem.
Through collaborative partnerships, Higher Ground will not only improve chances for graduation but provide a vocational experience that will launch them into a promising career path.

Our purpose is to meet the needs of at-risk adolescent girls from developing violent and risky behaviors.
The goal is to ensure that there is positive development for girls to impact and influence their community, generation and future.

Building leaders of character (BLOC)
utilizes an evidence based curriculum designed to teach adolescents to understand and replace aggression and antisocial behavior with positive alternatives.
Monday-Thursday between the hours of 4:00PM-7:00PM.

Youth Splash
Gang Alternative currently conducts a youth program called Youth Splash.
Youth Splash operates on Friday evenings
from 7:30 P.M.-10:00 PM and on Saturdays from 12:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.
Youth Splash is designed to help young men and women acquire the skills needed to make sositive choices, develop their abilities to function efficiently in society, and promote cultural awareness.

Recapturing the Vision is a non-profit organization committed to breaking the generational cycle of at-risk behaviors and developing America's youth through the presentation of innovative programs.

“Saturday 4 Arts” is a family oriented program designed for children between the ages of 10 and 16 where they can choose to learn the piano, guitar or dance while providing the child with basic knowledge that will spark their interest in the arts. Then they are brought together for a class on Life Skills where this interactive and fun class helps youth learn skills to resist peer pressure, develop their self-esteem by valuing others, understand the myths and realities about drugs and alcohol.
